Transiting Jupiter Can Bring Good Things But Will They Last?
Jupiter expands (although some people experience this as an expansion of not-so-great things) which can mean more of whatever part of your chart is being activated.
More attention, money, food, hope, faith.
When it comes to staying power, I have to say that Jupiter's impact does not carry the same weight as Saturn, Uranus or Pluto. A Jupiter-flavoured relationship commitment is (by itself) not as serious as a Saturn commitment. Jupiter is about the freedom to explore so it will always encourage some dissatisfaction with the present state of things. There's always an urge to look further or move on. The energy is Mutable - constantly morphing into something new and (ideally) better.
But. This is exactly what makes Jupiter transits opportunity transits.
If you treat them like Saturn (it's here for good) or Pluto (it's profound and soul-deep) you're going to be disappointed.
So to make the most of Jupiter you must work with what's expanding-personal growth. I mean, you don't have to- you can kick back and enjoy the goodies/good feelings as long as you accept that this probably won't last. But if you want to make a Jupiter influence last, you must walk through the door that's been opened. Explore the new "whatever" that's in front of you. Take the emerging sense of hope or possibility and actually so something with it. Learn more, travel, say "yes". See where it takes you.
Jupiter is currently in Aries. This is the sign of the warrior and the pioneer. Anger, lust, ambition and initiative will increase. This can be an explosive transit with things happening hot and fast. Impulse snowballs and before you know it you're carried away on a rush of passion.
Great if you need an infusion of courage and optimism. There's luck and opportunity if you just start. What are you waiting for? It won't be all mapped out and that's ok; instinct will guide you.
Not so great if you need to be careful. This is the firecracker transit - big, colourful explosions (perhaps literally). Big anger. Big impatience. Passionate beliefs become fanatical as the urge to fight heats up. Risk is amplified.
Very generally, here's a look at what transiting Jupiter in any aspect to the following might bring (hard aspects have a stronger influence):
Sun: bigger ego, more confidence, expanded purpose, in the spotlight
Moon: increased moodiness, feeling good, giving more/needing more/eating more
Mercury: more to say, desire to learn, the sales pitch, new possibilities, good news
Venus: more love/money/indulgence/laziness/expenses/happiness
Mars: more energy, increased motivation, actions are successful, good timing
Jupiter: expand on the area of your life that usually sees growth, teach, travel, pumped up ideals, luck
Saturn: make the promise real, push past a limit, increased authority, focus on or deny the opportunity
Uranus: lucky break, act now to get the gift, taking things too far (risky), unexpected blessings
Neptune: more creativity/compassion/sacrifice/addiction, spiritual breakthrough, unlimited possibilities and illusions
Pluto: success, increase of personal power, big win and/or death, major transformation/purging, fears and taboos expand
Ascendant: new you, weight gain, more attention, depression lifts
IC: relocation (usually to a bigger place), magnification of family issues, addition to the family, moving on from the past
Descendant: new partnership, existing relationship ends or enters a hopeful new chapter, one-on-one connection opens your eyes to new possibilities, someone else reflects your hopes
MC: new job, change in career direction, professional reward, opportunity to be more ambitious, opportunity to take command, liberated from current professional burdens
