SATURN MANIFESTATION
This post is about my Feb 16 post on the Sun/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius. I wrote “The weight of responsibility or the setting of boundaries places you apart- you rely on no one but yourself.
This can also be the formal start of a new chapter - whether professional or personal, your purpose is very clear and while this involves restrictions there is an odd freedom in knowing exactly where you stand”.
I have a thing for Saturn. He's prominent in my chart and even though I am moving through a horrendously difficult square from Saturn to my Moon, Jupiter and Chiron, I still like this planet. I've felt the pressure and the fear, but I'm convinced that this builds resilience.
So I viewed this Sun/Saturn conjunction as particularly powerful - ego (Sun) uniting with authority (Saturn). I saw the connection to the April 20 eclipse of course, but I also visualized this as a highly focused beam of purpose and energy - I truly believe that Saturn's energy, when used properly, can increase your power. But I also wanted to emphasize the lack of choice (Saturn is not about compromise). You do it because you have to, and sometimes that just makes things easier. And more powerful. When you're restricted your energy is naturally focused.
I described this as a manifestation aspect and a member on the blog suggested that I write a post on manifestation rituals. I have mixed feelings about this. Part of me would love to - I do have my own little rituals and the Gemini in my chart geeks out over lists of ingredients and routines. But I'm also hesitant. I feel like rituals are highly personal. In order to be effective, I believe that you need to design them yourself.
So for a Saturn manifestation ritual I will say:
find something that symbolizes what you want to manifest (a picture, texture, object, whatever as long as it's concrete and resonates with you)
write a song/poem/basic request that puts your desires into words- make it as clear and direct as possible
add whatever makes you feel good- candles, incense, food as offerings
or, add nothing - whatever appeals to you
repeat your request for one cycle between a New and Full Moon (Waxing Phase), preferably when transiting Saturn is making positive aspects to your chart
repeat every day (repetition is key) for the lunar cycle
discipline is especially key when you're working with Saturn - do it every day, even when you don't feel like it (especially when you don't feel like it)
And that's it. The rest is up to you. I'm not a witch and I don't know all the correspondences between colours, herbs, oils and planets. I have my own rituals but they are private. As I said, it's most effective if you design it yourself, obeying the basic rule that New to Full Moon (Waxing) is for increase and Full to New Moon (Waning) is for decrease or banishment.
Keep in mind that you're trying to make it real - focus on the physical manifestation. Find something that resonates when you think about Saturn and concentrate on that. Find the emotional hook and expand on it. If Saturn scares you, how can you work with that fear in your ritual? How can you overcome it or use the friction to push you to do better? If you're into the idea of hard work, focus on the pleasure that might bring you. Make those feelings real, find concrete representations, and incorporate them into your ritual. The key to success is the "juice" the ritual has - do you feel it in your gut every time you repeat it?
