BEHIND THE SCENES: VENUS DIRECT AND JUPITER RETROGRADE
Venus in Leo stations direct on September 3rd (12 deg) and Jupiter in Venus-ruled Taurus stations Rx (15 deg) on September 4th. What does it mean?
Seems like one step forward and two back. I thought we were making progress! Well, we're still making progress but that's happening in Leo (and in the house in your chart that Leo occupies). Taurus will experience delays/reviews.
Venus direct takes what you learned about relationships, values and money (during her Rx) and encourages you to put it into practice. The relationship ended, the purchase you thought twice about, the deeper look at what makes you happy- now you're ready to integrate these matters into your daily life.
Jupiter Rx takes the energy of expansion and focuses it on things beneath the surface. Yes, more Venus-themed things albeit in a different context from Leo. Venus in Leo is pride, power, attention and creation while Taurus is about the foundation. Jupiter Rx halts current growth on an external level and digs into that foundation - your internal voice, your gut wisdom, the beliefs that make up your security (or your beliefs about security). These things will now see growth while you review what's happened on the surface (things you own/bought/cultivated).
From Sept 3rd to 4th, Venus and Jupiter will both "station" which can be seen as a pause before they change direction. So you might experience these days as intensified money/relationship/self-esteem issues that appear to stop. But nothing's stagnating - this is the loaded moment before something happens. As matters in the Leo area of your chart move forward and they slow down/reversed in the Taurus area of your chart, it can help to view all this through the Venus lense. What pieces still need to fall into place for you to attain happiness (or at least satisfaction)? Are your values on all levels being honoured?
Note that Venus and Jupiter will square each other on Sept 17th (15 deg) which brings the above "pregnant pause" to a head with a conflict - where is Venus' progress on the outside misaligned with Jupiter's internal growth? There will be unmet cravings for more (and perhaps exaggerated opportunities), triggered by this conflict. Your task will be to change things in both areas to relieve that tension.
